his year in 2010, the
Gravenstein Apple Fair
will be celebrating the
100th anniversary of the first
Sebastopol Apple Fair held back
in 1910. The fair presenters,
Sonoma County Farm Trails
and the Apple Core Committee
made up of Farm Trails members
and local volunteers have
an especially sweet little fair
planned for this year.

The event will include historical


displays and artifacts from the
Sebastopol Historical Society
Museum like photos, event
programs and trophies from
some of those early years.
There will be a re-creation of
the original front entrance of
the 1910 fair, which was then
called the Gravenstein Apple
Show. Luther Burbank’s 1916
