RESIDENT APPRECIATION MONTH

We LOVE our residents! And to show just how
much we love you, we are celebrating you for an
entire month! Each neighborhood will have its own
designated Resident Appreciation Week.
Residents in each neighborhood will receive event
location information to their door on the Monday
of their neighborhoods resident appreciation
celebration. The schedule of neighborhood
resident appreciation celebrations are as follows:.
September 6-9 (Washington Grove /
Monroe Manor)
September 12-16 (Jefferson Terrace /
Harrison Villa)

Back to School Safety

Are you in a back to school state of mind? Even if you dont have kids in
school, be extra cautious of back to school traffic. Kids are not small adults and
are less cautious and more impulsive, so give them plenty of room and proceed
slowly around walkers and bike riders. Be aware of kids who may dart across
the street to catch the school bus or those crossing streets without paying
attention to traffic. Exercise caution around school buses. Stop when the lights
are flashing and proceed slowly when it is safe to do so. Watch for stragglers.
Ensure your child takes the same safe route to school every day and that you
know who travels with him/her. Remind them to pay attention to crossing
guards and other adults directing traffic flow. Walk with them
occasionally. Theres nothing like the possibility of a check ride to keep
everyone paying attention!

Community Yard Sale. September 3rd Sign up at your neighborhood center by 4pm on
September 1st.

PATRIOT DAY. Sept. 11th - A day of remembrance

for the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist
attacks.

LABOR DAY. September 5th-Fort Lee

Family Housing would like to remind all
residents that the Welcome Center and all
Neighborhood Centers will be closed Saturday,
Sept. 3rd and Monday, Sept. 5th in observance of
the Labor Day holiday. These locations will re-open
Tuesday, Sept. 6th at 8:30 am. We wish all
residents a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!
