What is the goal?


This is a proficiency-based classroom. Proficiency
means actually internalizing the language, not just
memorizing words or grammar rules and taking a
test. Rising in proficiency means being able to communicate messages more effectively. Our goal is to
end Spanish 2 at the NoviceHigh level.

What will we do?


The way to become proficient in a language is through
comprehensible input. My job is to give you compelling
and understandable language. Yours is to give me your
eyes and ears, and let me know when you need help.
Class will be at least 90% in Spanish. We will listen to
music, read stories, tell stories, talk together, and explore
culture.

Make-up Work
When you are absent, check the Espaol 2a/2b folder.. For every ONE day you are absent,
you have ONE FULL DAY to make up an assignment. Turn in all make-up work directly to me.
Late work is accepted up to 2 days late for a reduced grade. 1 Day- 70% 2 Days- 50%

After a missed assessment, you will have three school days to make it up during F.I.T. or you
will receive a zero.
