Fighting For Rights

UNHRC (BBC News)- In the morning at 9:30 BBC news went to UNRCH and interviewed a
few of the delegates. The UNHRC is currently talking about the rights and treatment for LGBT
(Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual and Transgenders)

During the debate the delegate of Belgium talked about the rights for free education for
children who are LGBT and for children who ere conceived by parents who are apron of LGBT and
also for children who were born with Non confirming gender. The delegate also talked bout who
muslim countries should be more accepting towards the LGBT community. The delegate also said
that the LGBT community should be allowed to donated if they don't have HIV and the people who
need donated blood can choose if they want blood from a member of the LGBT community or not.

The delegate of the USA says that that its very accepting and tolerant and that ae enough
campaigns and action for the LGBT. Gays are treated better. The are states in the USA that are
religious and are against the LGBT. Gay marriage is accepted

The delegate of Canada said that LGBT is accepted and very advance with LGBT. Same
sex marriage and adoption is legal. The are laws against people who have had gay sex from
donating blood because people believe that people that have had gay sex have HIV and because
of this if they donate blood the HIV will spread. Some states in Canada require you to undergo
surgery before you can make you transgender change legal. There are no laws against
transgenders.

The delegate of the UAE stated that religion should be the utmost priority and that the
religion does not acknowledge their existence because the UAE is a muslim country even though
the delegate feels that everyone has the right to be who they want to be. The UAE are against
LGBT because it is muslim country and that they will not be tolerant about it anytime soon. The
UAE is not really stringent with their laws.
