Wendy Priesnitz said and I quote When people memorize

something without truly understanding it, they havent really

learned it. When a skill is mastered in the context of an interest
and need experienced in the real world, it is truly learned.
Our world is changing very fast. We have to cope up with
technology that keeps on innovating day by day. Thus, if we are
slow to compete, then we will be left behind. Our skills must be
mastered according to our interests so we can deal with the
changing times.
We are very much privileged in the Department of Education for
we are given the opportunity to enhance skills of our students;
skills that will bring them into greater occasions to be competitive
on their own way. Today, these students will showcase their skills
with practical experiences, technical know-how and opportunities
in home economics, agricultural technology, industrial arts,
entrepreneurship and ICT integration.
Ladies and gentlemen, students, teacher-coaches, teacherfacilitators, administrators of public and private elementary and
secondary schools, Division Officials, friends, welcome to our
division level technolympics.
To formally start our program, everyone is requested to stand for
our invocation, to be followed by the singing of the national
anthem, our regional hymn and the tacurong hymn.
*To formally welcome us all, lets give a hand to our OIC-Schools
Division Superintendent Dr. Meilrose B. Peralta.
*Thank you very much Dr. Peralta for the warm welcome.
*Without them, this technolympics wont succeed. At this
juncture, we may call on Mam Agnes A. Villacruz, Education
Supervisor I for the presentation of participants.
*Enhancing our skills requires passion. When we say passion, we
love doing it over and over. Let me introduce to you a person who
loves practicing his God-given talent. And so, we are privileged to

be entertained by one of our division staff, our very own John Paul
Cabaguing and his intermission number. A round of applause.
*Our technolympics wont formally start without hearing the
message and the official declaration of the opening of the 2014
division technolympics from our vibrant, young, dynamic and
working Schools Division Superintendent, Romelito G. Flores,
CESE.
*Thank you very much Sir Rommel for the inspiring message
youve shared for everyone.
*We will hear now words of acknowledgement and at the same
time the briefing of our whole day activity. This will be given to us
by Mam Virgie T. Metal, Education Supervisor I.
*The Part I of our one day activity has ended. Simultaneous Skills
Performance and Presentation will follow, that will be until 12:00
noon.
*Then at 2 oclock, we will proceed to the proclamation of winners
and awarding ceremony.
*To all our contestants and coaches, goodluck. Ladies and
gentlemen, LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!
