Scholarships for Finance and Accounting

The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is pleased to announce the scholarships from the
World University Service (WUS) and the VGU Friendship Association. The funds for the
scholarships are financed by the Hessen Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional
Development (HMWEVL).
WUS and the VGU Friendship Association are supporting 18 students of the Finance and
Accounting study program in total. The value of scholarship is 1,000 EUR/student (one-time
payment)1. Entitled for application are students of Finance & Accounting of the intakes 2013,
2014, and 2015 who have good academic record and are in a financially difficult situation.
Female students will be favored; however, male students are also encouraged to apply. The
scholarship can be granted on-top of the VGU merit-scholarships (if any). Students who were
already awarded this scholarship are not eligible to apply for the scholarship in 2016 again.
Application Documents:
Interested students should submit the following documents:
- CV (max. 1 A4-page) including a photograph
- A short letter of motivation (max. 1 A4-page, line-spacing 1.5) introducing the candidate,
the family conditions, and the reason to apply for the scholarship. The motivation letter
should include name, student-number at VGU and the recent GPA at VGU.
Please put the two documents into one pdf file only. The file name should be the students ID
number.
Only full applications will be considered.

All amounts will be paid in Vietnamese Dong. The amount of Vietnamese Dong will depend on the exchange rate
and fees that may apply when transferring the amounts by bank transfer.
