Project design
The design of your DAS network is a collaboration between you and your
CommScope project team. Together we establish your coverage objectives,
capacity requirements and scope of services. A thorough site survey enables
us to undertand how your wireless performance may be impacted by factors
such as the local macro cell environment and other RF issues.
The initial assessment guides the preliminary design. This outlines the network
configurations, power sharing architecture, sectorization plan and more. The
preliminary design is tested, validated and optimized to produce the final
detailed design that includes elements such as RF plumbing diagrams, DAS
master unit and small cell controller layouts, and final scope and pricing for
the project.

Project implementation
The DAS implementation process includes installation, commissioning, optimization,
closeout and acceptance. All phases are carefully coordinated to minimize the impact
on your business.
During commissioning and optimization, DAS performance is tested and fine tuned to
meet the requirements for capacity, coverage, connectivity, power levels, interference
management, reporting and more. A test call from every sector ensures both uplink
and downlink performance. CommScope also provides recommendations for
optimizing surrounding macro sites in order to minimize potential interference.

CommScope
and Operator
Basic service helps customers with smaller networks monitor and react to alarms and events. Using
CommScopes network monitoring hardware, cloud-based software and virtual private network (VPN),
you can access your network equipment at any time and from any place with an Internet connection.
View real-time alarm reports, analyze network events and take the actions necessary to keep your
DAS and small cells running as they should.
Bronze
BRONZE
If you already have some DCCS monitoring capabilities, CommScopes Bronze service can help
you improve your network performance. Alarms and events are forwarded to the DCCS NOC
and analyzed by engineers who provide guidance to you and your staff on resolving issues and
optimizing wireless performance for enhanced end user experience.
Silver
SILVER
Silver service goes beyond alarms and event forwarding to provide proactive monitoring and
accelerated resolution. From the DCCS NOC, engineers monitor your equipment, resolve issues,
recommend local maintenance procedures, provide alarm performance reporting and proactively
work with you to improve wireless performance.
Gold
GOLD
CommScopes Gold service is an end-to-end monitoring and maintenance solution. It includes all
the remote capabilities of the Silver service, plus onsite troubleshooting, hardware replacements,
maintenance and performance reporting.
