1 Software Installation:

The Software Development Kit (SDK) is included on the supplied Software DVD. Insert the disc and
select your product from the product list.

3 PMC or PCI Connections:

For PMC Card: Insert the card and gently press into the PMC
mating connectors. Secure with the proper hardware.

For AFDX/ARINC 664, select DD-89101S0 from the


software list, and follow the prompts to complete the
installation of the SDK.

For PCI Card: Mount the PMC to the DDC PMC-to-PCI Adapter
and secure with supplied hardware. Insert the adapter into
the desired PCI slot and gently press into the corresponding
connector. Secure with the proper hardware, as required.

Ensure that standard ESD precautions are followed.


Once mounted, connect one or both RJ-45 Front Panel
connections to the desired AFDX/A664 networks (switch).
For basic loopback operation, it is valid to connect Port A (red) to
Port B (blue) using the supplied Cat5e cross-over cable.

Once the installation of the SDK has completed, power down your system to install the PMC
AFDX/A664 Card.
The latest version of the SDK can be downloaded from the DDC website at:
www.ddc-web.com/AFDX

4 Hardware Installation:

In the Hardware Installation Wizard, select the folder containing the driver. The driver can be located
on the Software CD or the downloaded SDK folder.

Setting PCI Clock Frequency DIP Switches:


The DD-82101F PMC Card must be manually configured (via
on-board DIP switches) to match the PCI Clock frequency of the
target PMC/PCI slot.

Driver path for AFDX/A664:


\DDC\AFDX_A664SDKvXXX\Drivers

If the PCI Clock Frequency is unknown, please use the unknown


column to force the frequency to 33MHz.
Reference the DIP switch table and set switches accordingly.

Unzip the file: DD89101S1_X_Y_Z.zip.
note: X_Y_Z = revision number

Ensure the zip file above is downloaded.

Once the installation of the SDK has completed, power down your system to install the PMC

4 Hardware Installation:

Using the installation script below, follow the prompts to install the package. The script will guide you
through building the drivers, installing the library, and setting up the device for the first time.
