1) What is the capacity of Ericsson BSC in terms following?

512 internal + 512 external cell

2 subcells per cell
16 channel group per cell
512 TGs
16384 traffic channels
32 frequencies per cell
256 TRH
1020 Transceivers

2) What do you mean by manage object. How are they classified?

A Managed Object is a logical representation of hardware units and
software in the BTS. As we are aware that nothing is visible from BSC
end that means it is necessary to define all hardware unit in as a
logical entity.
MOs are classified in two major classes
Service Objects (SO)-It handles functionality and Owners of specific
hardware units in the cabinet.
Application Object (AO)-It Handles functionality only and are under
administration of SOs.

3) What are the various MANAGED OBJECTS IN RBS 2000

Transceiver Group (TG)

Central Function (CF)
Digital Path (DP)
Concentrator (CON)
Transceiver Controller (TRX)
Transmitter (TX)
Receiver (RX)
Interface Switch (IS)
Timing Function (TF)
Time Slots (TS).

4) What are the various Fault classes and how are they identified.
Faults can be identified on the basis of classes as mentioned
below: CLASS 1A-Fault that affect MO function. Faulty hardware is
part of signaling MO.
CLASS 1B-Fault that affect MO function. Origin of fault is
external to signaling MO.
CLASS 2A-Fault that do not affect MO function. Faulty
hardware is part of signaling MO.

REPLACEMENT UNIT-Units reported in this map are HW units

suspected of causing the faults in the internal fault maps
described above.
