    1 a. List 5 items found in your yard, home or neighborhood.

    b. Select 2 of these items and provide a description of them using sensory detail (imagery)below.

    2. List 3 sayings/phrases you heard while growing up.

    3a. Name 3 relatives linked to your past.

    b. Describe one of your relatives in detail below. How does this person act/look/feel? What does he/she say?
    Then compare him/her to something using a simile or metaphor.

    4. Name some foods, drinks, and games that would be seen at one of your family gatherings. (No illegal drugs
    please.)
