Michael Hayden has been a part of sun sounds for over 6 years as a volunteer and then hired
our Operations Manager. Mike has demonstrated a dedication to this organization not only in
the broadcast product, but reaching out to help our listeners. Mike has gone above his job
duties when helping our affiliate broadcast outlets set up and maintain their broadcast and
office technology.
Mike's organizational skills and project management knowledge helped him lead a committee
to guide Sun Sounds in the implementation of changing over broadcast and recording software
for 3 broadcast and recording facilities throughout Arizona. This project meant learning a new
software and editing system from the ground up. Once learned, he had to train staff and over
100 volunteers on how to navigate the new broadcast and editing software. This took a lot of
organization and patience, especially with many of our volunteers who are not technologically
sawy.
Mike has demonstrated the ability to learn new concepts, new technology and new processes.
He has acted as a liaison from management to the engineering and lT staff. He has worked
cooperatively with a team of broadcast engineers and lT people to create a team to

troubleshoot problems that has earned him the respect of both groups.

that make Mike an asset to any organization are his organizational skills, patience,
project management knowledge, fun personality, interpersonal skills with staff and volunteers,
lT knowledge, and his dedication to his team, organization, and listeners. He will always have
the back of his staff and co-workers, and in return they will go above and beyond for him.
The traits

It has been a pleasure getting to know Mike as a volunteer and then getting to work with him to
help further Sun Sounds into a more technologically advanced broadcast outlet. I would have
no hesitation in hiring him again.
