Concerning Michael Hayden:

Mike Hayden joined our staff in 2011 and has held the position of Operations Manager from that time
until this. He is responsible for the technical functioning of Sun Sounds of Arizona which is a network of
four radio and internet stations serving Arizona's blind and print-disabled population. He supervises a
paid staff of four, and several volunteers. He reports directly to me.

During Mike's tenure he has been an exceptional employee; energetic, competent, creative, and
reliable. He is responsible for our on-air quality, as well as our productions, internet streams, and our
telephone IVR system Sun Dial ll. Those who he supervises are welltrained by him, and respond very

wellto

his coaching.

Mike also personally handles critical production tasks where best quality and practice are needed. His
production skills are excellent. His advanced computer skills required to oversee and program our
automation and production software systems is unmatched. He is always willing to coach others in these
arts to help both his direct reports, and colleagues improve their skills.

Mike readily volunteers for special projects, and is never reluctant to step in to back up others in times
of need. He is a self-directed employee who needs no direct supervision, but is open to coaching to
improve.

I hiehly recommend Mike for any position for which he has the skills.
