Roundtable: Inclusive
Growth Metrics Workshop
What does inclusive economic growth mean for Washington, DC, and
how do we measure it? Join us for the next Economic Intelligence
Roundtable brought to you by DCs Office of the Deputy Mayor for
Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) in partnership with
the Urban Institute and the DC Chamber of Commerce.

Friday, September 16, 2016| 9:00 am - 11:00 am

IBM Institute for Electronic Government
Hamilton Square, 2nd Floor
600 14th Street, NW | Washington, DC 20005
*Breakfast and Registration begins at 8:45 am. Program begins at 9:00 am.
This program will be a hands-on workshop focused on
developing metrics to define and track inclusive economic
growth in DC. This workshop will inform an ongoing
effort led by DMPED to develop a new economic strategy
for the District and serve as the first step in creating a
dashboard for monitoring growth that increases access to
opportunities, supports all businesses and residents, and
strengthens vulnerable communities.
Since our first Economic Intelligence Roundtable in spring
2015, we have been providing avenues of data-driven and

technology-driven context for economic development policy

and decision-making across several sectors. Following
remarks from Deputy Mayor Brian Kenner and a short
presentation by researchers from the Urban Institute,
participants will break out into smaller working groups to
discuss possible inclusive economic growth indicators and
data sources. Representatives from business, academia,
community-based organizations, and government are
encouraged to participate.

*Registration is required and space is limited. Please register by September 9th by going to: https://goo.gl/Q8LPU9
