The La Gran Batalla Debate competition, as the

activitys title expresses, is a Regional debate
competition spearheaded by the UCV College of Law
Bar Operations Units in partnership with Provincial
Government of Cagayan, and other willing sponsors.
The competition shall follow a modified British
Parliamentary Debate Structure to accommodate a 3man team.

The duration of the event is 2-days, excluding the date

of arrival of some participants. A single elimination
Package shall be followed and draw lots shall determine
placement and opponents of each team for the single
elimination.
During the debate competition, all participants,
including their coach, shall be housed and provided
meals. After the competition proper, a short tour on the
scenic and historic sites of the Province shall be
conducted to further enhance the educational value of
the Activity.

The net profit of the activity shall be used as financial

support for the Bar examinees of the University.
The Conference shall tackle on current issues
surrounding the nation. Prominent speakers are to
speak on areas which they have a great deal of
expertise on, after which an open forum shall ensue.

It shall be a 1-day event, where the meals shall be

provided to the participants (as part of their registration
fee). Speakers shall be given a token as a gesture of the
organizations gratitude.
All profit from the activity shall be used to finance the
Bar Operations of the University.
