Reflection
Last August 24, 2016, we searched for two kids for this project
entitled Treat a kid. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon when we
found these siblings playing with one of their friends near Manila City
Hall, where their parents and guardian are working. We talked with
their guardian and asked her if we can bring the two kids to the
nearest Jollibee which is located inside the SM Manila. We also
explained to her that this is our project in one of our subjects and were
glad that she let the two kids to be with us at around 5pm because we
still have a class at 4pm.
We returned there at around 5 in the afternoon and were happy
to see the two kids smiling when they saw us. Their guardian told us
about their names before we left. While walking, we held their hands
and its just so good to see them smiling and looking at us so excited
when we told them that were going to eat at Jollibee. As we entered,
we find a seat and we made sure that theyre sitting comfortably. We
ordered them spaghetti and chicken. When we were eating, we asked
them about their age, their parents, and about their other siblings. We
learned that David was 5 years old and hes the 3 rd child among the 5
siblings while the girl, Rain-rain, is 4 years old and second to the

youngest. Watching them enjoying the food that we ordered is just so

heartwarming. It feels so good in our part that for once in our life, we
made children who are completely stranger to us, happy. As John
Bunyan says, You have not lived today until you have done something
for someone who can never repay you.
In this project, we realized that we must learn to value and be
contented with what we have. We are just so lucky that our parents can
send us to school and that we can eat 3 times a day. We should always
be thankful for everything, even the smaller ones, because sometimes
we tend to ask for bigger things and even complain for not getting
what we want. Having this kind of advantage is not just for us to enjoy
but also to share with others the blessings that we get to receive to
those who are less fortunate.
