Mrs. Melinda Meadows,
I am writing to respond to the medical internship posted on Titan Connections at
Hospice Care of the West. I am interested in this position because I am confident
that Hospice Care of the West will allow me to exponentially grow as a future
healthcare provider. Both clinic and hospital medical settings are familiar to me and
I have had medical training pertaining to office skills and practical skills.
My professional clinic and hospital experiences include performing 12 lead ECG
placements with patient disclosure at UCI and CARE. I am also a part of a team
traveling to Tijuana, Mexico to set up a medical clinics bi-weekly, working with
different medical personnel almost each time. My clinical volunteer activity span
over two hundred hours at CHOCs ER for over a year and I will be moving onto the
NICU and postoperative department. Thus, my addition to the Hospice Care of the
West will be a great opportunity as I am adept at working with a large team of staff.
My normal schedules in the past at UCI and CHOC have been during night shifts on
the weekends, allowing me to perfect my skills of working efficiently during high
patient frequencies. Besides medical assisting duties, I have experience in
answering calls, scheduling and charting patients. I know how to perform initial
assessment vital signs and can alleviate stress off of the medical staff during critical
business hours.
The progress of my degree has allowed me to take many relevant courses in the
medical setting where I am exposed to clinical diseases and treatments, making
myself even more familiar and applicable to Hospice Care of the West. Being an
Inter-Council Club member has prepared me to perform accounting paperwork to
appropriate funds to students within my college. My experience in handling
paperwork may also alleviate stress off on medical staff during critical business
hours.
I am confident that my skill-sets and experiences are suitable with your
requirements. My knowledge in hospital and clinical settings have allowed me to
become familiar with the appropriate pace and efficiency required to provide
optimal healthcare by assisting and taking initiative to stock, and clean. My
academic activity prepared me to professionally handle clerical duties that are
pertinent to a medical office. I look forward to hearing good news from you and

receiving the opportunity to further my exposure to clinical medicine at an

outstanding medical group. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best,
Annie Vu
