    Biography:
    This will be my 8th year teaching ELA. I graduated from Southern
    University with a BA in Mass Communications in 1999 and a MPA in
    2003. I completed my alternative teacher certification from LRCE in
    2012. I am the mother of one daughter, who is a sophomore at
    Xavier University in New Orleans. Before teaching I worked with
    numerous education policy non-profit organizations, which helped
    me decide to become a teacher. My goal for this year is to
    decrease the number of students who score non-proficient on
    standardized tests and increase my students SRI scores by at least
    one grade level.
