T Hi students, Teacher Mus and I from Malaysia and we will teach you English and
Malaysian culture during our stay here for three month.
S We are glad you that you are here and we welcome you to Yanchon Middle School.
Hopefully we can learn a lot from both of you.
T Yes. I also learned many things from this school. I love the people here.
T Here is a short notice about this Dream Box show. All of Yangchon Middle School
students are welcome to participate in our show. The door is widely opened! You can
request songs in the memo box together with your special messages. The box is placed

T Thank you very much. Do you know that next week, Muslim in Malaysia will celebrate Eidal Adha. It is one of the biggest celebration day for Muslim.
S I see. Do you know Korean also having celebration next week. It is called Chuseok.
T Aaaa. Cheeuuuseuukkk (try to pronounce Chuseok).
S Teacher Sam, can you tell me more about Eid-al Adha.

T It is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year. It honors the
willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, as an act of submission to God's
command, before God then intervened, through his angel Jibra'il (Gabriel) and informs
him that his sacrifice has already been accepted.
S I see. What about the first one?
T The first one is Eid al Fitr. Muslim have to fast for one month. Fasting means you cannot
eat from sunrise until sunset. So basically Eid al Fits is a feast of breaking the fast. Can
you share with me more about Chuseok?
S Chuseok is a major harvest festival and three-day holiday in Korea celebrated on the 15th
day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on the full moon. During Cheseok, Korea visits
ancestral hometowns and share a feast of Korean traditional food such as songpyeon and
rice wines such as sindoju and dondongju.
T So, it will be school holiday next week.
S Yes teacher, you wont find me at school (laugh).
