SUBJECT: LUCASVILLE TRIO INDICTED ON DRUG CHARGES

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini and Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware
announce that three individuals from Lucasville, Ohio have been indicted on a number
of felony drug charges.
After a case was presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury in August of this year by
the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force and the Scioto County Prosecutors Office, 46 year
old Shirley A. Pollard of 95 Cypress Avenue Lucasville, Ohio, 31 year old Jessica Mills,
also of the Cypress Avenue address, and 75 year old John F. Bowling of 196 Center
Street Lucasville, Ohio were indicted on multiple counts of drug trafficking and
possession involving the drugs, Oxycodone and Heroin, that ranged from felonies of
the 2nd degree to the 5th degree. Warrants for their arrests were issued by the Scioto
County Common Pleas Court.
On Wednesday, September 7th, 2016 at approximately 1:00p.m., detectives with
the Scioto County Sheriffs Office arrested Bowling at his residence in Lucasville.
Pollard and Mills, which were incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail, were served the
warrants for their arrests on September 6th, 2016.
The drug trafficking investigation was initiated by the task force in July of this year
and ultimately led to a search warrant being executed at Bowlings residence on
August 3rd, 2016 where detectives seized suspected Oxycodone and Alprazolam pills
and over $750 cash. Pollard and Mills were arrested from Bowlings residence at that
time.
Bowling, Pollard, and Mills are being held in the Scioto County Jail without bail and
are waiting to be arraigned in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.
