International Training Program Center (ITPC) under Saigon Technology University (STU)
was established in 2007 with a mission to develop and conduct joint programs between STU
and world-class educational institutions in higher education and professional courses to equip
and prepare students quality knowledge and skill sets for their future careers.

ISC c thnh lp vo ngy 1 thng 4 nm 2016 v bao gm tt c cc sinh vin ang theo hc
ti ITPC - STU vi mc ch nhm to ra mi trng tt nht nng cao k nng mm ca sinh
vin cng nh k nng anh ng.
Hot ng ca chng ti lin quan n hc thut, x hi, vn ha, ngh thut, cng ngh v ngh
thut biu din. ISC c chia thnh 4 i nng ct: ICARUS, WILDFIRE, DEFENDERS OF
TROY v YOUNG BUF.
ISC was established on April 1st, 2016 and consists of all students studying at ITPC - STU with
the aims of creating the best environment to enhance students soft skills and English.
Our activities may be related to academy, society, culture, art, technology and performances. ISC
is divided into 4 hardcore teams: ICARUS, WILDFIRE, DEFENDER OF TROY, and
YOUNG BUF.

In Greek mythology, Icarus is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, the creator of the
Labyrinth. Depicted in art, Icarus and his father attempted to escape from Crete by means of
wings that his father constructed from feathers and wax. Icarus' father warns him first of
complacency and then of hubris, asking that he fly neither too low nor too high, so the sea's
dampness would not clog his wings or the sun's heat melt them. Icarus ignored his father's
instructions not to fly too close to the sun, whereupon the wax in his wings melted and he fell
into the sea. This tragic theme of failure at the hands of hubris contains similarities to that of
Phaethon.
Therefore, choosing ICARUS as the name for the team, we want to show that it is a necessity to
be curious about the world, to follow your dream with all you have despite all the problems
might occur. However, we still want to be conscious on safety concerns while chasing after your
dreams.

Students should consult the academic advisor for course registration on a semester basis.
Registration time falls on the 5 th week of the current semester for all courses of the following
semester.

Upon registration, students need to follow numeric course sequencing (based on 4 digits on each
course code). Students must register for 1000 level courses at first (e.g. bold digits in BIPR couse
is 1110), then 2000, 3000 and 4000 sequence respectively. Additionally, prerequisite requirements
must be satisfied, e.g. students must complete ENG 1101 before registering for ENG 1102.
Registered courses will be approved and notified at Academic Affairs prior to 01 week as from
the start date of the semester when payment is made. Timetable will include number of credit
load, course code and time. Students must clarify of Troy residency credits and transfer credits.
Students must check and ensure proper course registration. Students should be proactive to
contact academic advisor for course advisory and registration.

Based on Troy residency credits, Institutional GPA and Semester GPA, students will be
approved for conituous study or on probation or suspension.

Academic honesty is the foundation of education and training, as well as operational
base of any educational institution. All students should pay attention to the following
guidelines to avoid the disciplinary action if they violate the above educational
standard.

The test must be done by the students. If the instructors or the proctors detect any
signs and evidence of fraud and plagiarism such as bringing with documents, books to
copy but that action is not allowed, they must report it immediately and give evidence
to the Academic Affairs Office for handing.

Faculty members have the authority to grade student work and to assign grades; these are
academic judgements. A faculty members syllabus enumerates student academic performance
expectations and consequences. Faculty members render academic judgements when a studentss
academic performance violates established standards or fails to meet stated expectations.
Academic judgements, made by faculty, are based on academic content, course requirements, and
student performance. Students may not appeal grades on allegations concerning the competence
of a faculty member, the fairness of examinations, the difficulty of a course, or other matters of a
purely academic nature. Grades for individual assignments and exams may not be appealed.
While it is recognized that faculty hold the right and responsibility to grant a grade, a student
who receives a course grade that he or she believes to be unwarranted for reasons other than
those listed above may appeal that grade using these stated procedures.

complaint and the students informal appeal to the instructor.

be forgiven (not calculated in the GPA). The grades of courses repeated more than
once will be calculated in the GPA.

cumulative GPA must be between 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or C or higher at the scale of the

all graduation requirements in relation to training program, finance and other related
