1996 is a significant year for Filipinos all over the world.

It marks the
centennial of the Philippine Revolution, which started in 1896 and officially
ended in 1902. The Revolution with masses through Katipunan, a secret,
revolutionary, mass-based organization, and was later embraced by the
middle class. Indeed, the Revolution was one of the few times where there
was a convergence in the nationalist movements of the masses and the elite.
When the revolution of August 1896 broke out as a young man of eighteen
enrolled at San Juan de Letran. It was so difficult to see that we are under
from the Spanish colonial rulers. Many Filipinos suffer from this, Spaniards
wants to take the authority to rule us, but now this is the time to end this
suffering. As a student, even if I am not so courageous enough I have a
desire to be part in the revolution to fight the Spaniards and to help my
countrymen oust the abusive rules by giving my connection to empower and
enlighten the people to be free and take what for us. I heard a lot of plans in
my village that my barkada joining the Katipunan who would fight the
Spanish colonial rules like the radical youth today and in our School
exchanging opinions with alarming intensity and apprehension what will I do
is also to be part their plans . I will not be a coward because my countrymen
suffering so I will do what I can even it so dangerous and all are giving their
life to achieve the freedom. By this I can show patriotism, it doesnt matter
how strong the enemy and even they are so many communicating and
helping each other will build a strong nation fighting from the abusive rulers.
Condemning this uprising or applauding the effort as part of the desire of
people to be free and to fight their rights I will peacefully help them by
saying the right decision to think clearly the plan, by this it will calm them
and this will bring down the infidels, also the government who had given
everything to make the Indios true Christians worthy for salvation.
The country's struggle for freedom and democracy has been marked by
violence and conflict, resulting in considerable loss of lives and property. On
the positive side, it has given the people strength and clarity of vision to
continue to preserve their democratic gains.
Everyone wants to be free and independent from others. The search for national peace
has been a lifelong goal of us, the Filipinos. We need to take care and preserve
this and be thankful for all the people who sacrifice their life to attain the
freedom that we wanted under the Spanish colonial rules.

Historically, there has been an evident proof that freedom is innate to human and that
he will fights as long as he lives to restore his innate right to be a free man .The

western civilization guaranteed freedom for its own people, and occupied poor nations
and deprived their people from their rights, including freedom. So ,these poor nations
fought without rest to restore freedom and autonomy from occupation .Abduction of
rights , is not a respectful human action. Since God gave us freedom for free, we must
do our best to maintain and keep this right.
Freedom is not absolute. Freedom must be limited. You cannot just do what you like
and say I am a free man.
