MTC 125 Aural Skills Practice Test, Unit 2

Additional Interval ID Practice

If you are in Justin's aural skills section, you've already done all of these. For the rest of you, I intentionally
make the interval ID exercises harder than the test, so don't let yourself get too anxious about this.
These exercises are designed to be very hard for anyone who hasn't mastered the material.

Rhythmic Dictation
You will hear a one measure count-in. The count-in is a very low note on the piano and the actual
rhythm you dictate is played in the middle register of the piano. Remember pages 147 and 152 of
your Ottman have a tree of rhythms. If you master these trees, you'll be better at dictating rhythms.
