1. GOALS
Do the activities and answer the questions in Chapter One.
What do you want to accomplish?
1. Graduate college
2. Visit Africa and help the children that arent receiving adequate education
3. Get involved in my parish committees
Your Three Most Important Goals
1. Graduate from NICC with a diploma and degree
2. Graduate from Loras with a bachelors degree in accounting
3. Build a home and have it paid off within 5 years
Now do some planning for how you are going to achieve ONE of those 3 goals.
GOAL: Graduate from Loras with a bachelors degree in accounting
Give details about this goal. What specifically would you like to accomplish?
I would like to be able to get accepted into Loras College in Dubuque and continue my education in
accounting after receiving a diploma and associates degree in accounting from NICC. After being
accepted into Loras, I would like to try to maintain a 3.50 GPA and graduate from Loras within 2 years.
In the next 2 years, what three things could you do to move closer to this goal?
-Do well in my accounting classes at NICC
-Get an internship somewhere next year, the year before attending Loras, that gives me an
abundance of experience in the accounting field
-Graduate from NICC by May 2018
List 3 things you could do in the next 6 months.
-Start looking for a part time job in the business/accounting field, such as a bank
-Attend all of my classes this semester

- Register for more accounting classes for the spring of 2017


List 3 things you could do in the next 30 days.
- Reach out to teachers if I dont understand something rather than accepting the fact I dont know
something
- Study for my classes every day, for at least 20 minutes a class
-Legitimately read my textbooks, not just look for answers to homework problems within the text
