Prequalifyingconditions:
Tendersmeetingfollowingconditionsonlywillbeconsidered.

1.2.1 QualificationsofTenderers:
(a)

Thetenderesmustbemanufactureroftheequipmentoffered/Materialsrequired.

(b)

Relevant documents in support of the above must be furnished along with

undertakingofthemanufacturer.Ifthesedocumentsarenotfurnishedalongwith
thetendertheofferwillbeliabletoberejectedsummarily.

(c) Firms with ISO certification shall be eligible. Purchaser at his discretion may
consider the firms of U.P. having minimum five years operational experience in
UPPCLforsupplyofsameorhighercapacityequipment.

OPERATIONALEXPERIENCE:

serviceintropicalclimate.(Allrelevantdocumentstobeattachedwiththebidin
supportofabove)
MANUFACTURINGEXPERIENCE:

(i)

The indigenous manufactures must have manufactured at least 20% of the

specifiedquantitiesofeachitemofidenticalorsimilarequipmentasrequired.

(ii)

The manufacturer shall have minimum annual turnover over of different High
Value materials in the same process of supply of materials/equipments offered
asmentionedbelow.

1.2.3 TESTINGFACILITIES:
The tenderers must have all necessary facilities at their works for carrying out such
routine and acceptance tests as prescribed in the relevant ISS and any other routine
and acceptance test as specified in the specification. Documentary evidence of
existenceofsuchfacilitieswillbeattachedalongwiththetenderbid.
1.2.4. TYPETEST:

(a)

Forindigenousbidsorfullyimportedbids
The offered equipments must have been fully type tested as per relevant I.S.S
and /or other specified International Standards during the last 5 years period to
be reckoned from the date of opening of tender. Photocopy of such type test
report/certificatesmustbesubmittedalongtenderbid.Thetypetestcertificateof
proto type manufactured and tested by foreign collaborators of the tenderer at
theirworksshallnotbeacceptableforindigenouslymanufacturedequipment.

(b)Forindigenousbidsundervalidforeigncollaborators

(i)
Thecollaborator'sequipmentshallhavethreeyearsoperatingexperienceunder
tropicalconditions
(ii)

Theofferedindigenouslymanufacturedequipmentorcollaboratorsmanufactured
equipment should have been type tested and test report submitted with the
tender.

(iii)

For those indigenous manufacturers who have neither manufactured 20%

quantityindigenouslyandnorgottheirequipmenttypetestedbutarequalifying
becauseofhisforeigncollaboratorsmanufacturingexperienceandtypetesting,
themaintenanceperiodshallbe54monthsfromthedateofreceiptofmaterialat
siteor48monthfromthedateofcommissioningwhicheverisearlier,insteadof
18months&12monthsrespectivelyasprovidedunderclause30ofFormB.
