EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
A study on MARKET POTENTIAL OF 4G RELIANCEwas carried out in the
southern part of Bengaluru city. The study was carried out to find out the
market potential of 4G network, customers perception towards 4G
network and market potential of Reliance 4G network.
The study was carried out based on the sample size of 150 people in the
southern part of Bengaluru city. The primary data was collected through
the means of structured questionnaire. Whereas the secondary data was
collected through News articles and various publications regarding 4G
network.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
The research speaks about the finding of available market for 4G mobile
data network.
To find the market potential for the 4G mobile data network in urban
area.
mobile network.
RESEARCH MOTIVATION
The main reason behind the research is to understand market potential of
4G .4G network is new & latest technology in the market. The research is
done to understand its market potential & costumer perception towards
4G network. The motive factor to do this research was the popularity
gained by 4G network. Many mobile users are already using 4G enabled
handset despite the fact the 4G network hasnt widely launched. These
factors influenced in doing research on market potential of 4G. Recent
research shows that one out three smartphone shipped in India are 4G
enabled.
The research also want to understand how Reliance Jio going to penetrate
4G market in India. The company is expected to acquire 80 million 4G
customers by 2 years with more than half to switch over Indias top three
carriers Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. This fact is one of
the motive factor to understand customer perception of currently active
4G networks.
Literature Review
The purpose to utilize the bandwidth efficiently is to provide services
which have a wide coverage and users can get the data rate which is
higher. 4G network is expected to integrate with WDCMA, GSM, LTE but in
many remote areas only one of the networks are serving, which is a
problem as the network services are not fully utilized.
Bandwidth utilization was a very important issue for the network operators
as their profits were dependent on the same. Therefore, every operator
was trying to get the highest benefit from the network which is available
to earn the profit.
Evaluation of the wireless network
connected. With the integration of all the services, the 4G network was
able to provide the total coverage and roaming facilities and was the best
connected services than the previous generation of cellular networks.
The main purpose of the 4th generation network is that the work which
can be done at office or at home with a wired connection, the same work
can be done with a wireless 4G network connection.
SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
In this research random sampling technique is used as it is the easiest to
understand and easy to implement in a realistic marketing research
project. This technique is very easy to do when there is relatively small
number of people are taken as the sample size. But when we deal with
typical marketing research problems, the numbers are quite large, and
more importantly, the exact numbers are not known. This creates a very
practical difficulty for the marketing researcher who wish to use random
technique. To illustrate what random sampling technique is, assume that
we wish to estimate the average income level of 100 employees of a
company. We do not have access to their income levels, so we have to
interview them to find out their income levels. Assume that we have
decided to take a sample of 5, randomly selected from 100.
So in our research, we have used Random Sampling Technique for
collecting and analysing the data. Before starting our research we had to
select the region, from where we have to collect the data. For this
research we have taken Southern Bangalore, where research is done. All
the data were collected by a structured questionnaire prepared by our
group ijn the Google form, in which questions were related to 4G and 3G
mobile networks. This questionnaire was sent to different people in
southern Bangalore and they were requested to fill up that form and share
their views. From that questionnaire we got around 100 responses. Those
responses were analyzed using SPSS.
For the collection of the data we mainly targeted 3 groups of people:
-Students
-Government employees
-Private sector employees
And the people who were selected for this research are of age group from:
18-30 years
31-40 years
41-50 years
51-60 years
We have selected students for this research because these are the main
customers of any new technology which is launched in the market. And 4G
was the latest technology which was launched in the telecommunication
