    TheEngineeringServicesExaminationisconductedtocatertherequirementofEngineersinfour
    streams of engineering viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and
    Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering for various posts/services to the Govt. of India. The

    (Main)Examinationand(iii)PersonalityTest(Interview).

    (B)Agelimits:
    2130 years on 1stJanuary of the year of Examination. Certain categories of persons including
    departmentalcandidatesasspecifiedintheCommission'sNoticeuploadedontheCommissionswebsite
    (www.upsc.gov.in)areeligibleforagerelaxation.

    (C)EducationalQualification:
    AdegreeinEngineeringfromarecognizedUniversityorequivalent.M.Sc.degreeoritsequivalentwith
    WirelessCommunications,Electronics,RadioPhysicsorRadioEngineeringasspecialsubjectsalso
    acceptableforcertainServices/postsonly.
    Candidatesappearingattheirengineeringdegreeorequivalentexaminationarealsoeligibletocompete.
    CandidatesqualifyingonthePreliminaryExaminationwillberequiredtosubmittheproofofpassingthe
    requisiteexaminationalongwiththeirdetailedapplicationformtobefilledupatthatstage.
