Dear Fraser Wood Community,

It has been a wonderful second week here at Fraser Wood. The
students are settling nicely into their school routines and classroom
communities. We are all looking forward to the year ahead. Again, I
am very impressed by the smooth transition and maturity that our
Fraser Wood students have shown!
A few information items and updates for the next couple of weeks:
Student Information Packages
Early next week you will be receiving a package of forms to fillout/update with information for the coming year. Please return the
entire completed package to your childs classroom teacher by
September 30th.
Meet the Staff Evening
You are invited to join us for a Meet the Staff open house on the
evening of Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 from 6-7pm. This is a
welcome opportunity to meet your childs teacher, see your childs
classroom and learn from them about their learning. Please make sure
to come and introduce yourselves to me also!
Terry Fox Run September 30th, 2016:
Once again Fraser Wood is proud to join the Terry Fox Foundation in
the fight against cancer. On Friday, September 30th at 1:30pm we will
be participating in the 12th annual Terry Fox National School Run Day.
In order to make this event a success we will require parent volunteers
from 1:00 to 2:00 to help ensure the safety of our students along the
route. If you would like to volunteer please see Ms. Beuk or Ms. Jordan
in the office to sign up. In addition, beginning next week we will be
collecting Coins for Cancer Research. We are hoping that each
student bring a Toonie (or more) for Terry. Our goal is to raise $1000!
