Introduction:

The project aims at providing world class facility to research and explore the importance
of coffee along with a platform to enjoy the natural beauty of Coorg and the coffee
plantation. The project will be undertaken within a private property under private
ownership.

Location:
Kutta, Coorg, Karnataka
Coorg, an astonishing land in the heart of the southern Indian peninsula, known as
country of million hills, situated on the slopes of the Western Ghats, is Indias coffee
bowl. And has one of the beautiful climate and is one the leading tourist spots in India.
This tiny district in the state of Karnataka is the biggest producer of coffee covering more
than 100K hectares of land and one of biggest sector in working local people having more
than 2,50,000 of people working in this field. And Coorg produces the supplies the
maximum amount of coffee (around 140K million tonnes/year) to market.

Site area:
150 acres.

Aim:
Redevelopment model for coffee research and production integrated with education and
tourism.

Objective:
1. To improve the living condition of the labours through better condition of life and
work.
2. A self-sustainable campus attained through an integrated development of multiple
facilities in close proximity to carry out on-station and on-farm research for coffee.
3. Environmental sustainability through a bio-eco architecture model of development.
4. A full-fledged international agricultural research center to ensure the rapid
introduction, evaluation and use of coffee improved technology.
5. Promote demand-driven participatory research, planning and priority setting.

Scope:
1. The integration of research with education develops a mutual development.
2. Improved quality of life of workers.
3. Close proximity between different spaces which function to attain the same aim of
improvement in coffee production.
