PROJECTS AND PUBLICATIONS

FINAL YEAR PROJECT (2014)
This final year project was on Comparative study of Spiral and Tangential Inlets of Hydro cyclone Via
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Modelling and Designing of Hydrocyclones with Two different Inlet Types.
In this study we developed the geometries of two Hydrocyclones with different inlet types( tangential
& Spiral) on GAMBIT Software then Flow simulations were done on FLUET software and studied the
effects of various factors on the particle separation efficiency through CFD simulations. Division of
pressure and velocity of fluid and particles were analyzed (Pressure & Velocity Profiles) and finally the
efficiencies of both Hydrocyclones were Compared.
