Overview

Seahawk Cementing Unit

Applications

Offshore cementing and well

control operations

Benefits

Minimizes nonproductive time with

reliable twin-pump design

Minimizes risks by precisely controlling

slurry density

Features

The Baker Hughes Seahawk dual skid-mounted offshore cementing and well control
unit includes an integral precision slurry mixing system that accurately maintains
slurry density and consistency over a wide range of performance requirements. It is
also equipped with the latest control and monitoring systems for precise control of job
parameters, real-time job data acquisition, and post-job analysis.
The Seahawk unit is available on an 8-ft (2.4 m) wide skid configured for limited floor
space. The units modular design simplifies installation on offshore drilling equipment
and provides greater application versatility.

Health, Safety and Environment

Complies with current EPA emissions standards
Available in multiple configurations to meet Zone II hazard specifications
Operators are isolated from high-pressure components and manifolds
Fewer exposed rotating parts
Near dust-free mixing environment
Optional features attenuate noise levels to 85 dBA

I ndependently driven by two electronic

transmissions and two diesel engines

I ncludes direct-feed bulk delivery

system and automatic tub level control

Provides a virtually dust-free

environment and minimizes
air entrainment

The Baker Hughes automatic

cement control II system precisely
controls slurry densities up to
22 ppg (2636 kg/m3)

Control system allows programming

of multiple slurry blends

Micro Motion mass meters

accurately measure downhole
density and flow rate

Includes a wireless LAN for real-time

job monitoring

Can be easily modified to control

the density of ultralightweight
cementing slurries
