What We are Learning
Important Information

Reading
This week we will be focusing on cause and effect.
We will also review all of the concepts we have
learned so far.
Word Study
This week we will be working on commonly
misspelled words that the students use frequently in
their writing. Please check the Homework Corner for
a list of words.
Writing
We have recently finished the first draft of our
Courage writing. We will begin editing conferences
this week to prepare our final draft.
Math
This week we will be focusing on multiplication. Also
there is no homework this week! The homework sent
out on Monday will not be due until next Friday
September 30th.

Homework Corner

STEM
Both classes have started their Egg Drop STEM
challenge. Green group built their designs this
Monday, and Blue Group will build their designs
next week.
Social Studies
We are beginning our first unit on Explorers this
week! Students will be choosing a project to
complete on one of the explorers. Students will be
given time in class to work, but may be bringing
unfinished work home.
