To what extent has your society achieve inclusiveness?

Premises:
Acknowledge Singapore societys need for inclusiveness, and
challenge that the need for inclusiveness does not mean that this is
a goal that has already been achieved
Inclusivity vs segregation
Disability/ Special Needs
Singapore has become more accepting of handicapable from using
more politically correct terminology
(Although we should acknowledge that politically correct
terminology does almost nothing for the cause)
Employment of mentally disabled youths at menial jobs such as
packing, or cleaning tables
NDP 2016: song-signing for the first time a sign of widespread
acceptance for deaf people from the top-down
Paralympics equal coverage for elite Paralympic athletes
Racial Inclusivity
CNA survey on mindsets
The younger generation is more accepting of inter-racial
relationships and marriages and leaders of another race
However, it remains arguable that the religion of the Malay minority
can count against them as a factor when taking into consideration
the harsh political climate of the neighboring regions
It would be nave not to say that Singapore in terms of military and
governmental leadership remains wary of the Malay minorities in
leadership positions, because they share the same religion as
hostile neighbours which boast a mostly Muslim population
Elected Presidency changes
Socioeconomic levels
Guards against segregation based on socioeconomic levels
However, how successful this has been is arguable
Meritocratic society vs unequal opportunity
Meritocratic society: a society that rewards academic achievement
vs Unequal Opportunity: that no matter how hard certain individuals
try, they will not be able to achieve what privilege is able to get
them
Education:
Inclusivity with regards to all matters of achievements
DSA for students who excel at sports to enter a school of their
choice through direct admission
Counter-point: Parents are using it as a way to secure spots and the
privilege is returned to those who are academically gifted
Sports School for students who excel in sports

SOTA, Laselle for students good at arts

Available options/ Increased standards/Increased funding at
polytechnics and ITE for students who are more suited to hands-on
learning
Universities have different strengths NUS, NTU research, SMU
management, SUTD, technology and design
