Preliminary Filming Task

Year 12
You must complete a continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door,
crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom he/she then
exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue.
This task should demonstrate (as a minimum) match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180
degree rule.
Challenge: To add a layer of complexity, decide on the genre of your film. Ensure that
all the shots, editing and lighting fit with this genre.
Super challenge: The final technical code we have not yet studied is sound. What
sound will you add to your film to complement the genre?

21st September: planning and preliminary shots

Homework: filming
28th September: editing for P1 and 2 ONLY then screening.
