Toner Formulas

Toners are watery solutions, mostly used after washing the skin to remove soap residues and to tone the
skin. There are a variety of toners: some with astringent properties containing alcohol and/or plant
distillates and others addressing different skin problems. Usually, a toner cleanses the face of make-up
residues and leaves a smooth after-feel on the skin. Depending on the ingredients toners can re-adjust
water percentages in the epidermis, stimulate collagen synthesis and promote cell turnover. Below you
we have put together four different toners that are easy to make but contain premium ingredients.

Toners For Blemished Skin

Phase A
Distilled Water (diluent)
Aloe Vera 10x Concentrate (plant extract)
Propanediol 1,3 (humectant)
Marrubium Extract (plant extract)
Salicylic Acid (exfoliant)
Phase B
Polysorbate-20 (solubilizer)
Sweet Orange Essential Oil (scent)
Phase C
Citrus Combo (antimicrobial)

Method: In a clean glass beaker

combine phase A ingredients, stir well.
Add phase B to phase A, stir well. Add
phase C to phase A/B, stir well. Package
into our amber or natural bottles with a
spray top. Can easily be "spritzed" onto
a cotton pad and applied to the skin after
cleansing.
Properties: Toner for the blemished skin
with salicylic acid and Marrubium
extract. High amounts of aloe vera to
sooth irritated and stressed skin.

Toner for Mild Exfoliation

properties. If applied regularly it will
gently exfoliate making the skin look
fresh and supple.

premium ingredients that create a
moisture reservoir. Apply after cleansing
and add day or night cream afterwards to

lock in moisture.
