ABS vs PLA

ABS
-

Stands for Acylonitrile Butadiene Styrene

Oil based plastic
High melting point (230 C 240 C)
High strength, flexibility, and machinability
Requires ventilation when in use, as the fumes can be unpleasant
Can experience warping if cooled while printing. This can be overcome by printing on a
heated surface, which is something many at-home printers do not have

PLA
-

Stands for Poly Lactic Acid

Made from organic material (Corn starch and Sugarcane)
Easier and Safer to use
Smoother and Shinier appearance of the printed object
Smells slightly sweet and less harsh compared to ABS
Lower melting point (180 C)
Have higher maximum printing speeds, lower layer heights, and sharper printed
corners.
Heated surface is no longer needed with the use of "Blue" painters tape as a print
surface.
Warping rarely occurs.

1. Quality
To adjust the height of each layer in mm. Higher values produces faster prints but in lower
resolution. Smaller values produces slower prints but higher resolution.

2. Shell
To adjust the thickness of the wall around the object in mm. A thicker wall will produce a
stronger print but will take longer to print.

3. Infill
To adjust the density of the infill in the print in percentage. A 0% infill will produce a print that
is completely hollow while a 100% infill will produce a solid print.

4. Material
Retract the filament when the nozzle is moving over a non-printed area.

5. Speed
The speed at which printing happens.

6. Cooling
The layer at which the fans spins on regular fan speed.

7. Platform Adhesion
Brim adds a single layer flat area around the base of your object to prevent warping.
Raft adds a thick grid with roof below the object.
Skirt is a line printed around the object, but not connected to the model.

PRONTERFACE
1. PORT
2. BAUD RATE FOR PRINTER COMMUNICATION
2400,9600,19200,38400,57600,115200,250000. PREFER 250000
3. MOTOR SPEED
4. CONTROL THE MOTOR
5. HEAT 0(OFF),185(pla),230(abs), but we use 210 because its the most recommended
temperature. After done edit the temperature, remember to press set so the nozzle can
start to heat the filament.
6. TEMPERATURE FOR HEATED BED 0(OFF),60(PLA),110(ABS). Heat beds are used
because they dramatically improve print quality by keeping the extruded plastic
warm and thus preventing warping. Warping is a common condition caused by plastic
on the edges of the part cooling down at an uneven rate when compared to the plastic
inside of the part. The result is that corners warp up and deform your model. Rafts are an
effective no-heat bed strategy to deal with warping when a heat bed is not available.
7. EXTRUDE
8. REVERSE
9. SPEED OF EXTRUDE AND REVERSE
10.PRINTING SPEED
11.GRAPH OF TEMPERATURE
12.LOAD FILE File is inside your pc and dont plug away when printing.
13.SD File is inside your sd card, after you load the file and press print you can plug away
the USB
14.PRINT
15.PAUSE
16.OFF
17.DISPLAY/ COMMAND BOARD
