were no longer actively participating in the Church nga sila mo
Come Back and Feast at the Table of the Lord.
Si _________ niingon sad nga it is our duty to REACH OUT TO THE
LESS ACTIVE- ONE WAY that we can do it is to extend and
renew our love by giving a heartfelt invitation ngadto nila ug
pinaagi ana we can realized the joy that will come to us and to
those whom we have helped as we will take part ani nga glorious
work..
As followers of the Lord, part of our mission is to reach out to
our Brothers and Sisters who have separated themselves from full
activity dinhi sa simbahan- meaning to those who at present ni
live apart na from the Church and also on the influence of the
gospel sa ilang kinabuhi. This is one of the program in our
church which we called as RESCUE THE ONE an activation effort
because ang katuyoan sa atong simbahan is to FURTHER the
PROGRESS of every sons and daughters of God towards the
ultimate blessings of eternal life. This challenge dinhi nato kay
daku kaayo tungod kay we must exercise great faith, ENERGY and
COMMITMENT if we are to reach out to them. WE MUST DO IT
because THE LORD EXPECTS US TO DO IT. Mao na nga sa
atong pagpaningkamot to nurture atong who have gone astray,
we are going to apply the Saviors teaching of being a good
SHEPHERD- just like what our speakers have said. The
symbolism of a good shepherd has a significant parallel in the
Church today because too many are wandering, nya Some
were being enticed away sa mga makapadani ug mga
panandalian nga mga distractions, and then also OTHERS have
become completely lost . As what is said in Mosiah 8:21 Yea,
SO THESE ARE THE ONES WHO REBEL. AND Most likely

some of the problems also comes from the lack of loving and
attentive shepherding.
In John 21: 15 17, Jesus asked Simon Peter for three times IF
THOU LOVEST ME?. .. And after Peters response, Jesus then
emphasized for three times to - FEED my LAMB, FEED my SHEEP,
FEED my SHEEP. .. Therefore the proven solution to this old
problem of sheep wandering or sheep straying elsewhere for food
is to be CONSTANTLY REMEMBERED AND NOURISHED BY
THE GOOD WORD OF GOD.
Mao ni siya ang pag- prayerfully
shepherding and feeding the flock with a real and heartfelt
concern by a true and loving shepherd.
With a SHEPHERDs care, our new members who are newly born
into the gospel must be nurtured by attentive friendshipping , by
reaching out, pagpakita nila ug love and concern and by
letting them know that we care by being sincere and kind. New
converts must also be welcomed with opened arms and have a
full fellowship in the Church.
In Alma 31: 34 35, it says
Pinaagi sa atong pagpadayon sa pagtabang ug paglantaw sa
uban natong mga Brothers and Sisters, we can help them
receive all the blessings and ordinances of the Gospel.
Pres. Ezra Taft Benson shared 5 principles to help us serve
those who need to return to Church. These are :
1. The lost or less active must be found and contacted.
2. Loving concern must be demonstated.. (Tell them what we
feel and they must feel our love.)
3. They must be taught of the gospel. and Mas mayo that
they will feel the power of the Holy Ghost through the
teachers.
4. They must be included in our fellowship. One way of doing
this is by inviting them to our church activities. Though

they may not always come, pero wa sad na nagpasabot nga

wala nila na appreciate ang atong invitation nila.
5. Last, they must have MEANINGFUL Church responsibilities.
having a calling in the Church will strengthen them and
mahimo silang more active.
So, because of the Shepherds loving care- no one will be
inclined to wander However, if incase they do, a LOVING
ARM ug UNDERSTADING HEART of a good shepherd will help
to retrieve them as they will respond to the invitation nga moreturn to the fold. They will no longer return to their old habits.
INSTEAD, they will begin living new standards and increase in
gospel knowledge.
I know Brothers and Sisters nga many times it is difficult to
reach out.., and success does not come immediately..
I remember how it was when Bro. Jimmy was not yet fully active
here in the church..During those times I was struggling on my own
though I have learned also from others who have struggled too
having the same circumstance with mepero What I DID WAS
akong GI-ADJUST AKONG EXPECTATIONS para di ko maapil
ug kaluya, then CONTINUE TO SHOW UNDERSTANDING
even if at times makaingon ko di man ni mao, nya GAIN
INSIGHTS through the lessons I learned every Sunday which at
the same time ako sad siya storyahan unsa ang mga messages,
then ako pud siyang i-update about sa mga members diri sa
simbahan para makaila ra pud siya nila, nya FOCUS ON
WHATEVER SUCCESS nga akong makita and be grateful of it
like kun mosimba na siya, and lastly, HOLD ON TO HOPE by
continually asking for divine intervention.
Niingon si Pres. Ezra Taft Benson nga, LET US BE UNITED IN OUR
EFFORTS TO BRING THE LESS ACTIVE BACK INTO FULL ACTIVITY IN
THE CHURCH, THEN WE WILL BE ACCOMPLISHING THE MISSION
of the CHURCH.
