Hey everyone, bonjour, hola...

Tonite's show will be focused on my favorites taboos: body modifications. This art exists
since humans live on Earth, because it is not a matter of fashion or craving: it is directly
related to cultural expressions. For example, Mori tribes from New Zealand have tattoos
all over their bodies or there are Tirma tribes in Africa who have plates in their lips. So,
why are there so many repulses for body modificated people now days if it's also a cultural
demonstration? Tonight we got to special guests who are going to talk to us about their
experiences with body modifications and give us opinions, were having: the surgeon Dr.
Freak, from Venezuela and the tattoo artist LucInk. Dr. Freak is pretty well known and has a
huge background on matter of body changing. LucInk has become one of the most famous
tattoo artists here at Bogota. Then, let's receive Dr. Freak, good evening sir.
Nicolas adds his part of the script.

Thank you very much Mr. Freak, it was a pleasure to have you here for giving to our
audience your opinion about body modifications and to give advices. Well, as you noticed,
these scary things that change the look of your body, are now an artistic way of
expression, its not too bad, is it? Continuing with the show, we will have an small chat
with the tattoo artist Lucink, good evening mademoiselle You know, it is an honor to
meet you, thanks for coming and spending this time with us. Lets start with the questions:
When did this passion for tattoos start? Was there anyway who helped you or gave you
support with this idea?
-

Although very young I always felt drawn to this world, at first I did not see it as a
career. It was time, when I was studying medicine in Spain and started in parallel to
work on getting a tattoo shop piercings, when I began to realize the great personal
satisfaction that I generated this activity. To come here to Venezuela, to finish the
last two semesters of the race I was missing, I refuse admission here in college,
because I had half the tattooed face. This bad experience, but rather encouraged me
to continue growing in the world of body art or body art, to the point, to leave
college to open a separate room and devote myself to this profession full time.
Today, thank God, I own my own brand called Mithos Tattoo, which has two
commercial establishments in Caracas, one located in the Sabana Grande shopping
center and another in the City Market.

When did you get your fist tattoo? Why that thing?
-

I did my first tattoo when I was 11 years old, because I felt the necessity to express
myself. To reach the point of satisfaction and happiness

I guess you have met some strange people who want weird tattoos, which are the most
impressive or terrorific?

Although many people see my face and tattooed face , I do not do tattoos, because
in my premises , which has become the most renowned centers of tattoos
Venezuela , Latin America and the world , I have the best professionals in that area.
My specialty, in this case, are the extreme body modifications, which; They can
range from splitting the tongue in two like a snake, turn noses, put the ears like an
elf or implanted horns, to place figures and projections in and out of the skin and
genitals, among other extreme modifications, but also in some cases, I have made
interventions in the body to correct a cosmetic defect.
Would you dare to tattoo an eye or someones face?
-

I would say it was a mix of artistic and professional. As a man of challenges but also
business, I have always loved art and extreme expose my work in my own skin.
Over time , this action , though it may seem incomprehensible to many people , it
has given me great benefits to media and advertising level , because it is an art that
lives "in and on my skin '
Any advices or opinions?
-

Yes, I will recommend people when they take the decision to apply any body
modification in their body, choose the correct place because there when the narrows
are touching your skin may be infected with AIDS or other contagious illnesses. So,
be aware of those aspects and I will be ready to attend any kinds of surgery.

Thank you very much, Mrs. Luci, you have helped us to conclude our show for tonight, our
time has ran out, but before, I really want to tell everyone out there something pretty
important: theres this thing called liberty of expression, which is a right, and each one of us
has the right to express through his body whatever he wants, in fact, there are some body
modifications that arent too extreme and permanent, like piercings: for example, I got my
nose and my ear pierced and it isnt a trouble. Body modifications arent bad at all, they are
just a matter of responsibility with your body and to be aware of the possible consequences,
it is really important to get your body changed through clean and safe methods in order to
avoid any kind o complication. In addition, remember that its a way of expressing, so take
it seriously and as a signature! Join us next week, with more taboos, thanks a lot everyone!
