Information Sheet
ACCOMMODATION
We will stay at the PGL Marchants Hill
Centre in Hindhead, Surrey.
Accommodation is in two blocks with
rooms for a maximum of six students.
Each room has its own ensuite bathroom.
The telephone number of the centre is
01428 605626 but please note that
parents/carers are asked not to call the
centre except in an emergency.
TRAVEL
Students will travel to and from the centre
by coach. Departure on Monday 26
September will be 9.45am from Isleworth
& Syon School and students should be
provided with a packed lunch from home.
It is anticipated that the students will be
back at school on Wednesday 28
September by approximately 2.45pm.
LUGGAGE
Should be limited to one case/holdall per
student and one item of hand luggage.
CLOTHING
New or expensive clothing should be left
at home. It is recommended that students
take comfortable, casual clothing that is
easily washed. Jeans are not practical.
All clothing should be marked with the
students name and school.
BEDDING
All bedding will be provided by the centre.
MEDICATION
All medication must be labelled with your
son/wards name, tutor group and
instruction details on dosage. This must
be handed in before departure to the
school nurse Mrs Jennings, so it may be
kept centrally and issued as required.
MOBILE PHONES
Students are permitted to bring mobile
phones. However, students will only be
able to use them at set times and the
school will not accept responsibility for
any loss or damage.
VALUABLES
Students should not bring any valuables.
Electronic games/MP3 players/portable
DVD players or any other expensive
equipment are not permitted and will be
confiscated if found.
POCKET MONEY
We recommend a maximum of 10.00
pocket money for the purchase of any
sweets or souvenirs. This must be placed
in an envelope with your son/wards
name and tutor group.

KIT LIST
Waterproof jacket (essential)
Waterproof trousers (for wet weather)
Wash bag + 2 towels
Nightclothes
Several changes of underwear
At least 2 thick jumpers/fleeces
At least 3 pairs of old trousers (not jeans) two for activities and one for the evening
Shorts
Several T-shirts
At least 2 pairs of trainers (including 1 for wet activities)
Socks (several pairs)
Hat & gloves (for cold weather)
Labelled strong plastic bags (bin liners) for wet and spare clothes
