Electrochlorination Technology
Electrochlorination process by electrolysis method employ a direct current (DC)
electrical supply, providing the energy to discharge the ions from the electrolyte (salt
solution). The electrochemical reaction result in free chloride being generated at the
anode, while hydrogen and sodium hydroxides are release at the cathode. These two
substances react with each other to form sodium hypochlorite solution, an oxidantdisinfectant.
