Upcoming Events
Today, Alaiedon teachers have
sent a school-wide Halloween
celebration letter home. Ours was
sent in your childs daily folder
today, or backpack if the daily folder
was not returned. Please note the
orange Halloween flyer for details on
the criteria for Halloween costumes
and for the date and times of our
school celebration. Our class will be
in the 2:30 Halloween parade on
Friday, October 28, 2016. Our
Halloween celebration will take place
in our classroom immediately
following the parade. If you would
like to help out by running and
activity or sending food, please fill
out the slip at the bottom of this
newsletter and return it to school
with your child in his/her daily folder.
A blue note went home this week
regarding the field trip to the
Ingham County Fairgrounds to
participate in the Rock and
Mineral Show. The field trip is
from 9:30-11:30 on Friday,
October 21, 2016. If you would
like to chaperone, and did not send
the blue slip back to school with
your child indicating these wishes,

books in our classroom.
The students completed the math
practice test today, and we went over the
answers together. Please go over that
with them as a guide to study for the test
as your childs homework for the weekend.

Math
Our chapter 1 GO Math! test will begin
on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
In third, fourth, and fifth grades the
students are required to take the test on
the computer. Our students will begin the
test at 3:00 on Wednesday, following P.E.
Students who are unable to complete it in
the time given will complete it at 2:30 on

Reading and Writing

Our students have begun editing a final
draft of a personal narrative with a
beginning, middle, and end. We plan to
have them completed next week so we
may begin our final drafts.
