The tram was crowded as usual. Somebody stands on his toe. He bears it patiently. The
tram conductor pushed him aside and utters rude remarks for standing in the way. He
keeps quiet. The inspector who hopped into the tram for checking would not budge at
the magic word Pass but insisted on seeing it, and frets and swears while Sastri
fumbled with his buttons and inner pocket. Sastri never uttered a word, and bears it like
a martyr. At the office he was only two minutes late, but his employer, already seated on
his cushion, glares at him and behaves as if he has been two hours late.

Analyze the following case study and write your observations in about 350 words.
Sharma is working as an accountant in a jewel for a meager amount. One day one of his
friends who has some knowledge of astrology and who words in the past have come true
warns him that the following day, the stars are not favourable to him and hence he
should avoid all avoidable talk. The next day Sharma follows the advice of his friend
and keeps quiet right from the morning. He gets humiliated in the bus but bears it with
patience.
He arrives his office two minutes late but gets scolded by his boss for that. Even then he
does not open his mouth and controls his anger. When Sharma is busy with his accounts,
one customer comes up to him, show him a diamond and asks him if it could be set in
Platinum. Sharma who is not aware of the answer says that he doesnt know. The
customer becomes furious at it and complains about it to the owner. The owner calls
Sharma and scolds him in front of the customer. Sharma once again admits that he
doesnt know anything about Platinum which annoys his boss. He says that he wants
employees who know about every department in the shop and if Sharma repeats this in
future his job would be ousted. Sharma feels insulted in front of the customer who looks
at with triumph. The whole day Sharma could not concentrate on his work and hence his
work gets delayed. By the end of the day, when Sharma sets off home at nine, he decides
that he will meet his boss and seek justification. He gets ready to quit his job as well.
Finally when he reaches his boss home, it is ten oclock at night. He stands meekly in
front of his boss with dilemma whether to talk or to walk back. Seeing Sharma there, his
boss thinks that he has come to repent for his act in the morning and pardons him.
Having no other alternate Sharma leaves his boss home with a feeling that he had
triumphed over his stars that day.
