The requests both involve records related to the February 21, 2016 officer involved shooting of Marquintan Sandlin and Kisha Shelly Michael. The requests are identical, except for the fact that one letter references Marquintan Sandlin and the other letter references Kisha Shelly Michael. As the requests and responses are otherwise identical, I will provide one response applicable to both letters. Response: The Inglewood Police Department is not releasing any further information at this time. This is an active investigation into a serious incident. The Department is still processing evidence and conducting its investigation, which includes assessing the credibility of resulting threats made by individuals attempting to identify the involved officers. In order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, assess the threats made, and to ensure that it is completed promptly and thoroughly, further information regarding that shooting is denied pursuant to Government Code § 6254 (a) and (Dat this time.
