Abstract The guidelines for the preparation of a

technical paper for the NU Engineering Journal are
presented. This paper contains the information of
publishing format, text type and text sizes. Style rules
are provided to explain how to handle equations,
units, figures, tables, abbreviations, and acronyms.
The abstract is limited to 250 words and should not
contain equations, figures, tables, or references. It
should briefly state what were the authors
contributions, how the experimental was done,
principal results, and their significance.

Please be sure that your sentences are complete and

there is continuity within your paragraphs. Check the
numbering of your graphics (figures and tables) and
make sure that all appropriate references are included.

2. INTRODUCTION
This paper presents an example of the desired layout
and template for a technical paper of NU Engineering
Journal (NUEJ). This template is compatible
with a Microsoft Word template. Sections are
composed of (but not limited) Nomenclature,
Introduction, Theories, Simulation and Experimental
Results, Acknowledgement, References, and Authors
biographies. Please refer to the NUEJ preparation kit at
URL:
http://www.cpe.nu.ac.th/research/form_journal.php. This
kit provides the information to authors for preparing the
technical and review paper to NUEJ. However, the
authors can directly request any information from the

3.3 Font Types and Sizes

Only two languages, Thai and English, are accepted
for NUEJs paper. Please use the fonts as Times New
Roman for English written paper and TH SarabunPSK
for Thai written paper. Table 2 provides samples of the
appropriate type sizes to use for English written paper
while

3.4 Section Headings

A primary section heading is enumerated by a
Caption letter and is centered above the text.
A secondary section heading is enumerated by a
capital letter followed by a period and is flush on the left
of the column. All letter of each important word is
capitalized.
The
text
style
is
italicized.
3.5 Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be placed at the tops and
bottoms of columns, but not before where they are first
mentioned. Large figures and tables may span both
columns, but should not extend into the page margins.
Figure captions should be centered below the figures;
table captions should be centered above. Figure labels
should be legible. Put units in parentheses. For example,
write "Voltage (V)," not "Voltage/V." Do not label axes
only with units. Use the abbreviation Fig. 1, even at
the
beginning
of
a
sentence.
3.6 Reference citations
Reference
citations
should
be
numbered
consecutively in square brackets [1]. The sentence
punctuation follows the brackets [2]. Multiple references
[2, 3] are each numbered in the same bracket [1-3]. Refer
simply to the reference number, as in [3]. Do not use
"Ref. [1]" or "reference [1]" except at the beginning of a
sentence:
"Reference
[1]
shows.".
Number footnotes separately in superscripts. Place
the actual footnote at the bottom of the column in which
it was cited. Do not put footnotes in the reference list.
3.7 Units
All units in NUEJ publications must be SI units.

3.8 Abbreviations and Acronyms

Define less common abbreviations and acronyms the
first time they are used in the text, even after they have
been defined in the abstract. Do not use abbreviations in
the
title
unless
they
are
unavoidable.

3.9 Math and Equations

Use either the Microsoft Equation Editor or the
MathType commercial add-on for MS Word for all math
objects in your paper Italicize Roman symbols for
quantities
and
variables.
Number equations consecutively with equation
numbers in parentheses flush with the right margin, as in
(1). Be sure that the symbols in your equation have been
defined before the equation appears or immediately
following.

C ( p) K p

where Kp is the proportional gain, and Ki is the
integral
gain.
Use "Equation (1)," when you refer the equation.

5. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The following is an example of an acknowledgment.
The authors gratefully acknowledge the contributions of
Dr. Xxx Xxxxx, Prof. Xxx Xxxxx, and Mr. Xxx Xxxxx
for their work on the original version of this document.

6. REFERENCES
References are important to the reader; therefore,
each citation must be complete and correct. References
should be readily available publications. List only one
reference per reference number. If a reference is
available from two sources, each should be listed as a
separate reference. Give all authors' names; do not use et
al.
Samples of the correct formats for various types of
references are given below. All of following samples are
