There was a 12 year-old boy who lives in Thneed-Ville. It is a walled city, and everything are
made of metal, plastics. Ted wants to win the heart of Audrey. His dream girl. In order to win her
heart, he must grant the wish of the girl. And the wish of the girl is, she wants to see a real tree.
Because as we know the city where they live are not natural, they are made of plastics and
metals. And in order to grant the wish of Audrey, Teds grandmother suggest that he need to
speak with the Once-ler regarding in that matter. Once-ler is a ruined old business man outside of
town in a stark wasteland. Ted finds way outside of the city, and talks to the Once-ler. And then
after that, Ted is inspired to undo the problem of their city. However, the greedy Mayor of
Thneed-Ville, Aloysius OHare, has made his fortune exploiting the environmental collapse and
is determined to stop the boy from his business. He do all he wants just to stop Ted solving the
artificial city.

The moral is that if you ever use resources without making an effort to protect it then it will be
destroyed forever. If we dont look after our planet, we will have nothing left. Treat resources
with respect, protect it and it will still be here in the future.
If we do not collectively take responsibility for the stewardship of the environment, then our own
world will soon be like the one that the Lorax left behind. Left to the devices of greed-based
business interests, the resources of our world are being consumed at an abominable rate. And
soon, they will all be gone. So while the Once-ler did eventually see the error of his greedy ways,
it was already close to too late for his world.
We already get packaged drinking water, imagine what would happen if we have to buy
packaged air as well.
Protect and guard the environment. Don't take it for granted or it will be gone before you know
it. You don't know what you've got until it's gone.
