North Carolina representatives include the following people. George Kenneth "G. K."
Butterfield, Jr. is a United States Congressman elected in 2004 and is part of the Republican
party. Walter Beaman Jones Jr. is the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 3rd congressional
district, serving since 1995. He is also a Republican. Renee Jacisin Ellmers is an American
politician and Republican, who has been the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 2nd
congressional district since 2011. Bradley Mark Walker is a pastor from the state of North
Carolina and a Republican Party member of the United States House of Representatives from
North Carolina's 6th congressional district. Mark Randall Meadows is an American politician
who has been the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district since
January 2013. He is a member of the Republican Party. Virginia Ann Foxx is the U.S.
Representative for North Carolina's 5th congressional district, which encompasses much of the
northwestern portion of the state and a portion of Winston-Salem. Robert Miller Pittenger is an
American politician who has been the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 9th congressional
district since 2013. Patrick Timothy McHenry is the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's
10th congressional district. He is a member of the Republican Party. He was a member of the
North Carolina House of Representatives for a single term. Alma Shealey Adams is an American
politician who represents North Carolina's 12th congressional district in the United States House
of Representatives. Richard Hudson is an American politician who has been the United States
Representative for North Carolina's 8th congressional district since 2013. He is a member of the
Republican Party. David Rouzer is the U.S Representative for North Carolina's 7th congressional
district. Previously he was a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly. David
Eugene Price is a professor and the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 4th congressional

district, serving since 1997 and previously from 1987 to 1995. He is a member of the Democratic
Party.
Richard Mauze Burr is the senior United States Senator from North Carolina having
served since 2005, and he is part of the Republican party. He is 60 years old and was born on
November 30, 1995 in Charlottesville, VA. Burr represented North Carolina's 5th congressional
district in the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 2005. Prior to his political
career, he worked for seventeen years in private business with Carswell Distributing. He
graduated from Richard J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, N.C. in 1974 and earned a
B.A. in Communications from Wake Forest University in 1978.Burr was on the football team at
both Reynolds High School and Wake Forest. Burr lettered for the Demon Deacons during the
1974 and 1975 seasons; however, the team went winless in ACC play during his tenure.] He is a
member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Prior to running for Congress, Burr worked for 17 years
as a sales manager for Carswell Distributing Company, a distributor of lawn equipment.Burr is
currently a board member of Brenner Children's Hospital, as well as of the group Idealliance a
group of local, academic, and government officials working to expand North Carolinas
Piedmont Triad Research Park. Burr is also a board member of the West Point Board of Visitors.
Burr has been married to Brooke Fauth Burr, a real estate agent, since 1984, and the couple has
two sons, Tyler and William.
Thom Tillis is the Junior U.S. Senator since 2005. He is a Republican. Tillis's first major
job after high school was at Provident Life and Accident Insurance Co, in Chattanooga,
Tennessee, helping computerize records in conjunction with Wang Laboratories, a computer
company in Boston. Wang eventually hired Tillis to work in their Boston office. He spent two
and a half years there, before being transferred back to Chattanooga, and then Atlanta. In 1990

Tillis was recruited to work for accounting and consulting firm PriceWaterhouse. He enrolled in
an extension program, graduating from the University of Maryland, in 1997 with a B.S. in
technology management to meet job requirements. His client was Charlotte's NationsBank Corp,
which in 1998 became Bank of America Corp. In 1998, Tillis moved his wife and two children
from Fairfax, Virginia to Cornelius, North Carolina, a northern suburb of Charlotte, saying he
was "sick of commuting".PricewaterhouseCoopers sold its consulting arm to IBM in 2002; Tillis
retained the title of "partner" when joining IBM, as did many PricewaterhouseCoopers
consulting partners, although such a position had not previously existed at IBM. Tillis began his
political career in 2002 in the town he lived in, Cornelius, as he pushed for a local bike trail and
was elected to the town's park board. He ran for town commissioner in 2003 and tied for second
place in the voting.
Pat McCrory is North Carolina's Governor, he is part of the Republican party.McCrory
was born in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Audrey Mona and Rollin John McCrory. His family
moved to North Carolina when he was a child. He was raised Presbyterian and his family
attended First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. He graduated from Ragsdale High School in
Jamestown, North Carolina. He attended Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where
he received degrees in Political Science and Education. McCrory was active in the Student
Government Association and was part of a conservative backlash to the growing "hippie" culture
at Catawba in the mid-1970s. McCrory lost an initial bid for student-body president before
retooling his message for a second run which he also lost. In 2001, McCrory gave the graduation
keynote address at his alma mater, Catawba College. The college then awarded him an honorary
doctorate of legal letters. He currently serves as a member of Catawba College's Board of
Trustees. In January 2008, after 28 years with Duke Energy, he retired from the company to run

full-time for governor. In January 2009, McCrory was named a partner with Charlotte-based
McCrory & Company, a sales consulting firm. In January 2010, he was named a Senior Director
of Strategic Initiatives for Charlotte-based law firm Moore & Van Allen PLLC. He is a 2014
Young Leader Alumni member of the American Swiss Foundation. McCrory began his political
career in Charlotte in 1989 when he was elected an At-Large City Councilman. Public safety was
among the priority issues he focused on. He was re-elected in 1991 and 1993, and served as
Mayor Pro Tem from 19931995. In 1995, he was elected mayor of the city of Charlotte.
