to mass produce the ashtrays, as it need to hold hot ash. For the heat
properties, thermosets outperform other candidates. Thermosets is
strengthened after heat and it would not soften and melt under high
temperature. However, thermoplastics will soften under high temperature.
Crystalline thermoplastics melt in a range of temperature. Amorphous
thermoplastic has a sharp melts points Therefore, amorphous thermoplastic,
crystalline thermoplastics may change shape when holding hot ash, these
make them not suitable to make ashtrays. Also it chemical resistant is higher
than others candidates. Although its harder to mold, but the excellent heat
and chemical makes it the most suitable materials for ashtrays. As heat
resistant noncombustible and high melting points are crucial for ashtrays
which outweighs the easiness of molding.

Copper is appropriate for water pipe out of these properties. First, its nontoxic
which is crucial for water supply parts. Second, the it has high flexibility, so it
can bend around the obstacles like bolt and shaft. Third, it has good UV
resistance which makes it suitable for outdoor. Forth, it wont react with water.
this is crucial as it expose to water for long time. Finally, it has, good thermal
conductivity so the pipes get warm during exposure to hot water and stay
warm. This helps keep hot water at a consistent temperature as it travels
through the house.

Polyethylene is appropriate for making advertising sign boards because of its
tough, low cost, good chemical and UV resistance and the good film forming
properties. Therefore, it is easy and cheap to be fabricated as film.
Chemically, Polyethylene is inert. At regular temperatures, most oils, solvents,
and water have no effect on it this material, which is required for challenging
outdoor environment. Its tough so it can also withstand strong wind outdoor.
UV resistant helps to survive in sunny outdoor.
