Making the Dino edge

When you finish the last 36 (40) row of your sole, take dpns and going around the rectangle pick up sts
from the edge from both the front and back loops for each stitch, you will have in the end 8 (10), 16 (20), 8
(10), 16 (20) stitches on your 4 needles.
Lets go through these instructions below:
This is how the end of row 36 (40) looks like; you do not turn the
work to the WS.

Take a needle and put in under your edge loops both front and
back.

Weave the yarn over the needle.

Pull the yarn through the hole under both loops you have your
first stitch of 1st row for Dino edge.

Insert your needle under the next pair of edge loops.

Weave the yarn over the needle.

Pull the yarn through the hole under both loops and receive the 2nd
stitch.

Continue picking up the stitches.

Check your wrong side, it should look like the one on this picture.

After you finish with picking up stitches and will have 8 (10), 16 (20), 8 (10), 16 (20) stitches on your
needles, knit all sts in first 2 rounds, in third round knit *ssk, yo* to the end, rounds 4th, 5th and 6th knit all
sts.

STEP 1
Take a crochet hook and put it under the 1st stitch
in your 1st round of st st under your left needle.
This is the hole under front and back edge loops
from which you picked up stitches for Dino edge
earlier.

From another side you will see your hook under

the chain of edge loops.

STEP 2
Insert the crochet into the 1st stitch on your left
needle and

STEP 3

Slip it off the needle to your crochet hook.

STEP 4
Pull this stitch through the hole to the RS of your
knitting and

STEP 5
Put it on the additional needle. Proceed with
every next stitch and in the end you will see how
the Dino edge is nicely shaped.

How the Dino edge looks from the

outside and inside

If you knit the booties in one color only, you need to break off your working yarn after youve finished
with the Dino edge. Start knitting the main part from the outside, at the very beginning of your 1 st
