REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2013-284

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2013-237
(AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING IBE ROUTE OF OTON (DERECHO)
PUBLIC UTILITY JEEPNEY'S (PUJ'S) IN THE CITY OF ILOILO) TO
INCLUDE "OTON ANHAWAN" IN ALL THE PROVISIONS THEREOF
Sponsored by Councilor Plaridel C. Nava II and seconded by Councilors Lyndon
V. Acap and Radel F. Agado
WHEREAS, Regulation Ordinance No. 2013-237, which was enacted on May 29, 2013 has
established the route of"Oton Derecho" PUJ's in the City of Iloilo;
WHEREAS, there are two (2) legitimate transport groups existing and operating in the
Municipality ofOton - one is "Oton Derecho" and the other is "Oton Anhawan";

WHEREAS, Regulation Ordinance No. 2013-237 vests the "Oton Derecho" with the
exclusive privileged to ply the route: "Mohon Street passing Osmeiia Street to Avanceiia Street,
right to Lopez Jaena Street, M.H. def Pilar Street passing Bureau of Internal Revenue, make a
U-turn at the Iloilo City College at San Pedro Street and San Marcos Street, right to Locsin
Street passing Iloilo Supermart towards Tabucan, right to San Rafael (Don Nonato Pison
Avenue) passing Ateneo de Iloilo, right to Benigno Aquino Avenue passing Smallville Complex,
Honda Cars Iloilo up to Joey's Pepperoni, right to MH Del Pilar Street passing Hotel Del Rio,
San Marcos Street passing Plaza Molo, Avanceiia Street back to the Municipality ofOton".

WHEREAS, the Committee on Transportation has taken the position for the absolute and
complete implementation of the Perimeter Boundary Ordinance and the total ban of all provincial
PUJ' s from entering the jurisdiction of Iloilo City;
WHEREAS, in the interest of fair play and in the meantime that the foresaid recommendation
of the committee has yet to be approved, the other transport group plying the route "Oton Anhawan"
be granted the same rights and privileges being enjoyed by "Oton Derecho";
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Iloilo,
that:
Section l. - Regulation Ordinance No. 2013-237 is hereby amended to include the Oton
Jeepneys with sign route "Oton Anhawan" in all the provisions set forth therein from Sections 1 to
7.
Section 2. - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
