Assignment #1
Advertising Agency Report
The point of this assignment is to learn about an agency within the
advertising and marketing communications industry in Canada. This may be
done by an individual or as a two person assignment.
Steps:
1. Choose a Canadian advertising agency (or the Canadian office) to
research.
2. Prepare a report on your agency of choice. You may wish to consult
this link http://www.adbrands.net/ca/index.html
Required Content:
1. Provide a comprehensive description of the agency including (you may
include international information but your focus must be on the
Canadian agency):
history
location(s) / size (personnel)
major clients
great campaigns/awards
job opportunities
2. Include copies of five (5) of their ads including some old work as well
as more recent campaigns
3. Write a critique on each ad (consider if it has won awards; your
opinion; who is the target and why the ad reaches the target). Each
critique should be at least a paragraph in length. Be critical.
Format:
1. Include a title page with your name, student number, section, and
agency name.
2. Word-process your work in 12 point type.
3. Check spelling and grammar it always counts.
4. Properly document all sources using APA format.
