A. Unlocking of key words in the story using picture and context
Show picture of the following:

(Explain each words explicitly, use it in a sentence and act it out if
possible)
Refer to LM- Activity 105 on page 112
B. What do you want to buy from a market?
C. What did Danny want to buy in the market?
D. (Reading the story aloud by the pupils and guided by the teacher)
Chocolate Milk for Danny
After reading each paragraph there are questions that needs to be
answer by the pupils
1. Who are the characters in the story?
2. Where did mother ask the children to go?
3. What did Danny want to buy?
4. In what other ways can you show that you are telling the truth?
IV. Evaluation
(Pair and Share)
Each pupils will share with a partner instances in their own life when
they told the truth and said they were sorry for what happened. Each
partner will take his turn sharing his/her experiences.
V. Assignment
Draw your favorite character in the story. Write two sentences about
him/her.

III. Procedures
A. Remember the story we read yesterday? What did Almira buy for Danny
in the market?
(write the word chocolate on the board and underline ch)
*What are the underlined letters?
*What is the sound of ch in the word chocolate?
(Pupils will sound /ch/, if they cant produce the sound the teacher will
model it)
B. How are /ch/ sounded in chocolate, change and much?
(Let the pupils sound it three times)
C. (Activity)
Identify the pictures by completing the words with /ch/. Read the
words, then the phrases and the sentences with /ch/ in that order.
Refer to LM Activity 107 on pages 114-115)
D. (Show three story boards one by one to the pupils)
What do you see in the pictures?
(all answers are correct and acceptable/ write their answers on the
board)
E. (Show them again the first story board)
Look quickly at the pictures and give the big idea.
(Tell them that the activity that they did is skimming)
IV. (Show the other two story boards one at a time)
*Five to ten pupils will share their ideas about the pictures. Write all the
answers on the board. (Group Activity)

Each pupil will give their opinion about the pictures. Write your answer
on your paper.

A. (Show a picture of a Birthday Party)
Look at the picture and observe it.
B. *What do you see in the picture?
* What do they celebrate?
*What are the things your parents do to make you happy on your
birthday?
*Do you like to have a birthday party? Why?
C. (Show the recipe of Egg Sandwich)
Each pupil will scan the ingredients and procedure, then they will
identify different ingredients of Egg Sandwich. Write your answers on the
board.
D. (Paper and Pen Activity)
What are the things you do to keep your food safe, clean and
nutritious? Write your answer in complete sentence.
IV. Evaluation
(Acting Out)
Bring out the ingredients that you were asked to bring in class. Using
the ingredients, do the procedure in preparing the recipe in two groups.
(Egg Sandwich)

V. Assignment
Bring a copy of your favorite selection in class.
